Teacher: Aaron DeVries AboutPastor John MacArthur will take you through the story of the earliest Christian movement to show how—even in the midst of persecution and opposition—the early believers were able to rely on God's spirit for direction and divine authority to preach the gospel to all nations. The book of Acts is a carefully-recorded history of the explosive spread of the gospel and the rapid growth of the church after Christ's ascension. In one of the most tumultuous, violent and dramatic books in the entire Bible, Acts starts with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, without which the young church could never have survived the unleashing of rage and prejudice towards these radical followers of The Way. Throughout Acts, God shows His infinite power regardless of the circumstances, just as He continues to do today. |
5th Grade through High School
Teacher: Wes Salveson About Living in a culture that was hostile toward having faith in God, Daniel and his friends could have conformed to society. Instead, they learned to take a stand through God’s power for what they believed. By studying their integrity and faithfulness, students will be challenged to evaluate their priorities and embrace biblical values, no matter the cost. |
2 years through Preschool Kindergarten through 4th grade
Teacher: Angel DeVries + Karen Wiederrick Teacher: Amber Olsen About In the Generations of Grace Sunday school curriculum, children are lead through the narrative of Scripture, from Genesis through Revelation, outlining God’s redemptive plan. Each year the curriculum covers a different part of Scripture. Over the nine-year period a child spends, Generations of Grace will lead that child through God’s redemptive plan three times, each at a deeper level. Generations of Grace curriculum is set up as a “unified curriculum” for this very reason. Every week, children in each age range learn from the same passage of Scripture in a way that is appropriate for their respective age levels. A unified curriculum enables families to discuss one passage together each week, reinforcing the lesson children have learned in Sunday School. |
